Instructions
🥣 1. Prepare the Dough
- Activate the yeast: In a bowl, combine warm milk (110°F), sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy. (Tip: If it doesn’t foam, your yeast may be expired!)
- Mix the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, melted butter, and egg. Pour in the yeast mixture and stir until the dough starts forming.
- Knead the dough: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. (Tip: If the dough is too sticky, add a little flour.)
- Let it rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

- Prepare the strawberries: Dice fresh strawberries and mix them with sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract in a saucepan.
- Cook until thickened: Heat over medium-low, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens (5-7 minutes). Let it cool before using. (Tip: Don’t skip the cornstarch—it prevents the filling from leaking!)

- Roll out the dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough into a large rectangle (about ¼ inch thick).

- Roll it up: Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. (Tip: Roll slowly for even layers!)
